Beach Trip 2018

Our week together was so very memorable. We had a fun time with the babies on the beach this year. It gets a little more fun with every year that passes, even though that means they are GROWING up! We had a big family affair this year. Mama's and Daddy's, grandparents, and Grandmommy, the whole crew of cousins and aunts and uncles all made the trip. I know we are so blessed to have these years together. Taking big family trips is so chaotic and crazy, but having four generations crammed into one beach house for a whole week is so worth it! I know it won't always be this way, so we are hanging onto these days of having each other near.

I have LOVED hearing them talk about all the fun they had while on vacation. They have already asked to go back several times, and even tried packing a bag!

This year we decided to absolutely never, ever never plan a beach trip in September. This was two out of two trips that had left us with hurricane anxiety. Thankfully, we only had one day of bad weather, but nothing horrible. We had a cozy day staying in,  just watching the rain fall.

We ate out most nights, because isn't that one of the best parts of a vacation?! FOOD. We all LOVE food, it was a hard choice choosing a place each night. We managed to try a few new places and loved it all!

Once we got settled back at home from a fun week at the beach I was definitely ready for the start of fall. Unfortunately, Tennessee isn't going to feel like fall for a few more weeks. Until then I will begin to search for all the cute fall necessities for the kiddos. Zara's toddler selection gets me every time!

Have a great weekend everyone.

august | fair fun and more

I love taking pictures of my family. Especially when you take THE picture. You immediately just know it's going to be one that holds a special memory forever! This is that picture! The sweet innocence of my little girl and her Daddy who loves and protects her. I believe Heidi and John will both cherish this picture, forever!

August was a fun month. We visited two county fairs in two weeks. We rode rides, played games, got to see sooo many farm animals, pony rides and the best part.. We ate all the fair food! Heidi even rode her first big girl ride.. The Ferris Wheel was a big milestone and she loved it the entire time. Abba and I were not so crazy about the ride. But we didn't let that show through! We put a big smile on our face and UP we went!

The first fair we went to had a toddler section with more hands on activities for childen. They had a little farmers market, after selling their farm goods they were able to trade in their money for a special treat. It was very neat, and they talked about it for days after!

lake trip with family

Hello everyone! We took our annual trip to the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan at the start of the month. John's family has such a cute little cabin on the lake. We stayed busy with boat rides, kayaks, jet ski's, paddle boats, and rangers on the trails all around. Although, if you followed along on Instagram, you probably noticed my family favored blueberry picking over all other activities!
It was the perfect getaway and has become more and more fun the older the babies become.

they love their papa and deedee!

We had such a sweet time. It's so crazy to see how much we've all grown and changed within just a short year. This Mama is soaking up the last weeks of summer before fall comes. Have a great weekend everyone!
