This little Tribe of mine

Meet my little tribe, Heidi and John Thomas. They are 13 months apart.

They have been inseparable from the beginning.
The excitement they get when they see each other every morning is just the cutest thing ever.

I didn't realize how much fun having two so close together would actually be!
I have constant dejavu of like...wait this time last year I'm doing the exact same thing except with my second sweet baby.

But the best part of it all, they are both now in the exact same size diaper. WINNING!!

Yes, there are days that I forget to eat breakfast or even brush my teeth.. but I manage to survive!
These two have us in tears at their crazy ways. They will make each other so happy one minute..and the next will be complete chaos as they fight over Donald the duck or the worst yet..
The ever so loved snack cup..Always seems to be in the middle of church too.. I'm telling you, it never fails. Goldfish will be flying!

So we are starting to get lots of looks when we go out..We literally need two of everything!!

And I feel like I'm constantly apologizing to the poor old couple behind us for the toys falling over the church seats, or the puffs getting crushed on the floor of church.. haha these are the days my friends.

Any other momma's feel the relation?!

Not sure how both my babies ended up with blue eyes, but I'll take it.

I'm back//Plus 2

Well hello friends. I'm so totally shocked at myself for being gone for so long.. Well not really!!

Seriously though..At least I've kept up with my social media (instagram at least) through the past few years. Just forgot to blog. I've been pretty busy to say the least.

Let's talk about Fertility!! So... In June of 2014 I had just completed my second IUI after going through 2 lyproscopic surgeriers for endo. And also 6 months of Lupron shots (whew...)

Still 0 luck whatsoever. We were heartbroken.

We were heading to the UP (Upper Peninsula) in MI! John's family owns a cottage on the lake there. It would be my first visit there! We had so much fun with his family. It was this trip that I had dreadfully found out the last IUI had failed... because y'all know... The lovely monthly visit showed up knocking..

We had started to talk about the next steps to come!! IVF???? We knew we needed to act quick. Especially since the surgeries were a year in the past and knew how aggressive endometriosis was to come back.

So we decided to take the month of July off.. Take a break from all things fertility. We had a busy month ahead of traveling, we just knew it would be too hard to plan dr visits in the midst of being gone so much.. I mean there were weeks that I would have ultrasounds one day..a shot the next..and come back the following day for another ultrasound!! Lots and lots of appointments!

So fast forward to the end of July 2014 to find out with the help of our almighty God, WE were expecting our first baby girl!! Which we then went on to name Heidi James.

Of course the surgeries and treatments definitely helped give us a fresh start for trying to conceive.. How awesome is it, that God would simply give us this blessing on HIS own time!

Sometimes we need to slow down, and count more on his time and reasoning!

What a huge wake up call it was.

Wanna talk about a wake up call.. Ha... Well here is comes!

So fast forward to the next summer at almost the exact same time. Little Miss Heidi was 4 months old! Yeah... you heard it right.. F O U R months. That's all!

We so surprisingly found out we would be Mommas and Dadas again. Insert really ugly crying face here.. like this one 😪 We were sobbing with joy, panic, happiness, anxiety, but mostly just how awesome our God was to do this again!

We then found out it would be a sweet baby boy! We named him John Thomas and he is all things sweet, handsome, cozy, and kind. You can catch up on all the past baby pics and firsts on instagram by the way! I've kept it all documented, Find me on IG  @brittanyminelli

Our last beach trip without babies of our very own!

On our way to eat some lobster.. take me back!

We Look like babies ourselves.. oh my! This is funny
And horrible clarity, but y'all..it was like 3 yrs ago!

A post to follow all about our precious ones! I promise to post in the future, present time!

Haha but it was fun explaining where we were, and how we got here!

Minelli House Pt. 1

We are thrilled to be all moved in and settled! We worked very hard for this beauty and are so proud of how it all turned out.

Side Note: Of course we don't have $100,000 dollars to go blow on furnishing and decorating this sucker!! So we will continue to add little things here and there. That's part of the fun anyway..  I'm always on a search for a great piece, cool curtains, statement rugs, fun lamps and such.

AND HERE IT IS....

MIA is a total understatement

Truth be told I haven’t had a blog entry in over a YEAR. I’ve actually ran/hidden from the fact of even getting somewhat close to posting anything! Not that I was an avid blogger before..But still.
If you know me...You’d know I’m reserved for the most part. Not very emotional, and I have trouble expressing myself or talking about myself really?!  Not to mention talking about my troubles, and worries! Not sure why I keep myself so distant from everyone and even myself, my problems at times?! It’s not a good quality to have!! The bible tells us to cast our burdens on the Lord. He also tells us to confide in one another. He tells us this for a reason..

Christians have duties.. Many duties! One of those is to BE there for our fellow Christian brothers and sisters! It’s a two way street, I should also want to share my feelings, faith and happiness to my fellow Christian friends as well, but if the bible stresses this so much, shouldn’t we also be willing to share our not so pretty moments.? What about our struggles, broken hearts, and our deepest needs?

Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can be whole and healed. The prayer of a person right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. - James 5:16

Whether we praise him for his unfathomable majesty or petition him for daily needs, prayer is the expression of our dependence upon God, our whole-souled reliance upon his power to sustain us, his mercy to forgive us, and his glory to overwhelm us as we reflect on who he is.

(Venting Time)

A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with a crappy disease called Endometriosis and PCOS. WOW.. Did I ever think the following year would be this exhausting and draining dealing with what I thought was just gonna be a quick clean out and then I’d easily get pregnant and be done with it!! HA..Not at all was it, or has it been quick OR easy! Just goes to show you life is never how you think its going to be!

I’ve now began documenting every pill, surgery, appt, shot etc.. because I know one day I'll look back at it and think how much it was worth it.. today, this week, or even this month, I might not be thinking that so much. (Give me a break I’m trying)

Needless to say: 2 surgeries, 5 months of injections, months of fertility pills, and steroids  later.. Im still fighting hard to be the Mommy I want OHH sooo bad to be!

A very comforting passage decided to pop up on my bible verse iphone app during my very first appointment at Nashville Fertility. It goes something like this.

Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines, Though the labor of the olive should fail and the fields produce no food, though the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the Lord. I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he has made my feet like the deers feet, and makes me walk on my high places.
Habakkuk 3:17-19

I continue to pull this passage out now and then to remind myself, even when everything seems to go horribly wrong it’s so important to stand fast in the Lord God and trust in him!

I’m going to promise myself to stick with this blog.. Mainly for my own escape. I know it's okay to share feelings, and even let people in on what is now trail, but what will someday be a lesson of strength and perseverance. This is just another day closer to the beautiful plan that God is molding for John and I. I'm just squirming to see it for myself :)

Thanks for taking the time to read :) I also want to say how grateful and encouraged I am by my sweet husband who has to deal with my crazy hormonal self everyday. He truly is my little hero, keeps me laughing and smiling even during some of the roughest days. My sweet Momma who has shed many tears right along side of me, because what Momma wants to see her daughter hurt? She has given me the most comfort and support this whole journey through! And let's be honest, we all know she is just as much ready to be 10 minutes down the road from her sweet grand babies! Thanks to all my family who have visited, called, and prayed for my well being in the last year! I've gotten so much love and support that it truly makes my heart smile! :) Love to you all!

On a very joyful note, my husband and I built the house of our dreams! A long post is in the future with many detailed pictures to come. We are in love with it, we never want to leave home! It's just so cozy!

Sincerely me.

snowy march..

Ohhmeeeeeee goodness.. Today is March 2nd AND it has been snowing like crazy for the past two days! What's up with that?

It always seems to do that here.. Can't make up its mind if it wants to come or not. Well it definitely came, and is still coming!

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of this cold weather. But watching the snow fall, it truly amazes me. To think of just how great and powerful our God really is? Simply unexplainable..

Happy March!

This is a huge month for this little Minelli clan. Prayers going up for a successful month and future months!

     - Do not strive in your own strength; cast yourself at the feet of the Lord Jesus, and wait upon Him in the sure confidence that He is with you, and works in you. Strive in prayer; let faith fill your heart-so will you be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

looking FORWARD>

Well... I must say the past few months have been very hard.. I've had bad news after bad news.

So i'm looking forward to my future, hoping everything only gets better. Including a stress FREE weekend with two of my best friends and they just so happen to be my brother and sister in-law (insert jumping for joy here) yahooo!!

So like I said.. My hubs and I are going to the beautiful state of South Carolina this weekend to visit my brother Chad and sis in-law Lauren. (But really she's my sis).. Can you believe in almost two years we have NEVER seen their sweet home, cute little city, school, work place, church! None of it.. Only pics. (No excuse at all.) They moved there for my brother to begin his years of medical school. They just simply graduated college, married, packed up and moved to a place where all they had was each other. I LOVE THAT.. They learned to depend on each other and deal with life as adults. Hours and hours away from all family, friends, and all they had ever known. They are brave! I miss them a lot.. Being young and married you find not many of your friends are there yet.. So I think of my sweet brother and sister in law who are doing the exact same thing as us.

They are such great influences and I only wish we could be closer oh so closer! But this is life.. AND it makes the times we are together very special.

I plan to take many pictures of our adventurous weekend with them.. I'm almost positive that Lauren will do the same. So watch out for her blog posts as well, you can find it HERE

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend XO
