birthday week | twenty-seven

Hi friends. To start off let me make myself clear of one thangg!! I'm not one of those people who celebrate my birthday days in advance. But to be brutally honest we've done a whole lot of nothing this whole week leading up to my birthday. 

So here's a glimpse of what we've been up to. 

And let me just say, I'm having a hard time remembering just how old I was turning this week. It's getting bad.. John keeps reminding me every. single. time I ask him.. Like is that Mom fog??? I don't really know! But this year's lucky number is twenty-seven!! How did that even happen? 

Y'all, I'm still wearing t-shirts from high school.. Guess I should probably toss those out as I inch closer to thirty.

FIRST | SICK BABIES

We have had a ton of sniffles, stomach junk, and aches making their way through our home the past two weeks. Starting with Heidi's stomach bug, that lead to Mommy's stomach bug! BRUTAL, I must say!

The boys dodged the stomach bug, thank goodness.. But they did catch the nasty head cold, and it just seems to linger and linger! NOT FUN! 

SECOND | TARGET RUN 

We did venture out to target for some necessities and a few cough cough..(Christmas) items on Monday! The dollar spot was happening that day and i stocked up on the cutest items for the holidays. That was a nice escape for an hour, plus we met Daddy for lunch and that was fun!

We also set up our tree and put out some decorations. The earliest we have set up Christmas, but it was all we could do after being stuck inside!

THIRD | SISTER STARBUCKS DATE

Y'all I never leave my babies behind. They are always tagging along, but this time Nonny watched them for a few hours so me, a friend and my sweet sister could have some QUIET, important Arbonne time. It was very much needed. 

FOURTH | BIRTHDAY 

So Thursday came quickly, I started the day off at the dermatologist to have a few injections for pesky cysts that decide to show up at the worst possible time (my birthday) Thanks a lot HORMONES!! But thank heaven for steroid injections! It saved the day for sure! Already improving.  

FIFTH | BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST for DINNER

We had the most chill day and came home to the best family snuggles. We decided to make yummy breakfast for dinner! Sweet comfort at it's finest! 

We cannot say NO to WAFFLES.

Lucky Ladd Farms | family fun day

Hi everyone, it's Thursday. We tackled another pumpkin patch with the family yesterday. The adults had just as much fun, and we spent hours doing all the bests of fall. Grain sack slides, swings, wagon rides, corn maze, the cutest farm animals & the best pumpkin patch food. ever. (I wish I would have captured the goodness of the chili cheese fries I had). We did it all with four babies, only three and under. Thankfully, my mom and sister were the greatest set of helping hands! It was a much needed day to be outside. Something about the crisp, cool air that just totally recharged my battery! The very much needed Momma battery..

The corn was a huge hit for all the kids. I'm considering a kiddie pool full of corn for the backyard!

The ducks were definitely the highlight of Heidi's trip today! She even keeps asking for me to show her the video of them quacking at her. It's the cutest thing.. everrrr

Lucky Ladd family fun day was a huge hit. We will need to make it a yearly tradition, only adding more babies each year.. haha maybe??

a sweet treat

Hi everyone it's already mid week again! This week has gone by quickly so far, (not mad about it at all). On Monday I called John on his way home to ask him to stop for milk. And let me tell you, my HUSBAND is by far the sweetest, he surprised us with milk and donuts. We were outside playing when he pulled in, so of course we had to have one right away, and there was no hiding those donuts. You could even smell them in his truck.. So there we were, at 4:30 pm eating donuts in the driveway on a Monday afternoon. Doesn't get much better than that. Plus to top it off, the babies bundled up in plaid kind of makes my heart melt.

minis & pumpkins

Hi everyone, we're tackling our mid week duties around here today. The kids have picked out their second round of pumpkins this month, and I'm sure it will not be their last. 

Yesterday we took the babes to a local farm just down the road that has all the fall goodies, and not to mention THE cutest little goat kids. Heidi was in heaven with the goats and kind of forgot about the pumpkins for the time being. When we finally got back home she loved helping arrange the porch and trying sooo hard to stack the fancy stackable pumpkins neatly. Those poor pumpkins will probably have had it by the end of the season. haha. Meanwhile, we will just be blowing all our money on all the pretty pumpkins we can find, and I'm okay with that.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention the barn cats that got all the love from the babes too..

first signs of fall | all dressed up for fun

Hello friends, we are finally starting to experience all the firsts of fall this week. We've spotted our first pumpkins on porches, pretty mums flooding the nursery stands, first leaf piles in yards, and first pumpkin spice coffee for Momma, (Heidi sneaks in a few sips too, if you follow on insta stories you'll see she really loves her some coffee.) We even had one of our first crisp mornings this week, which called for an obvious photo session of the babies dressed so cute. They L O V E going to their grandparents house, and yesterday we surprised my Mom by showing up bright and early on her day off.

Hey everyone, if you can't tell I'm so excited, and FINALLY ready for fall around here. Once our beach trip came to an end I was 100% ready. Like let me tell you how ready I was.. We had a seven hour drive home from Florida and I did way too much shopping the whole way back!! I'll be sharing a few favorites for the babes that have already arrived since then! 

We haven't had the chance to wear any of them yet because of this unusual heat we are still experiencing. Hopefully this weekend will be a little cooler.. We cannot wait to wear our new fall favorites.

Heidi has more fall gear than her brother, but a little corduroy dress for special occasions is always a good idea. I'm on the look out for some cute boots + tights for this winter.
